Avalanche course for those who will be around snow, with a view to going downhill, with skis or a board on their feet. Knowledge of avalanche safety is at least as important as having the right equipment with you when you head out into the snow. During two days, you will learn the basics of avalanche-smart behavior on the mountain.
If you also want to learn to top tour on your own, we recommend the Freetouring course, which is a combined avalanche and top tour course!

– Mate rescue
– Identify avalanche terrain
- Be able to reduce risks in avalanche terrain
– Basic snow and avalanche knowledge
- Search and interpret information about avalanche risk

Minimum 3 maximum 8 participants per course
What is included:
Course and instructor for two days, course materials, safety package (transceiver, spade and probe).
Prerequisites:
Home/accident insurance covering off-piste skiing
You should be able to ride off-piste in different snow conditions
Equipment
We are out on the mountain for most of the course. Appropriate clothing is a must. Transceiver must be of a digital model with three antennas and de-flag function. The shovel must be made of metal.
Equipment per participant:
- Alpine touring skis (Randonné), Splitboard or telemark skis and trail skins
- Backpack/Avalanche backpack (airbag) 30-40 liters (can be borrowed for those who want)
- Helmet
- Transceiver
- Probe at least 240 cm long
- Spade with straight and flat blade
- First aid
- Clothing suitable for both active and stationary work in cold and windy mountain environments
- Thermos, sunglasses, ski goggles and more
